Windows 10 had some recent updates that may cause problems with networked legacy applications. This might be the problem you are running into. Here is a solution:
- Open regedit.exe
Open regedit.exe by simply typing in regedit into the start menu search bar and press enter. - Navigate to System
Using the navigation pane, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE…SOFTWARE…Microsoft…Windows…CurrentVersion…Policies…System. There should be several DWORDS already in there. - Add DWORD EnableLinkedConnections
Right click on the white space on the right pane, and select New>DWORD (32 Bit) Value. Name the DWORD EnableLinkedConnections. Lastly, change the value of the DWORD to 1 - Restart Your PC
You’ll need to restart in order for the change to take effect. This should solve the problem.
